OCE requires a minimum of one-month's lead time to facilitate a potential visit with an academic purpose. When completing the form, please clearly identify specific mutual goals and objectives that may align with Stanford academic priorities and – more specifically – align with faculty-led research and projects to assist your request. If you are visiting solely to tour the campus, we welcome you to explore the self-guided resources to tour the campus’ community spaces and public art.

OCE supports the public in navigating Stanford departments and programs. Requests for meetings, visits or collaboration are individually prioritized, based on the research and education goals of each department, program or school. Stanford is a decentralized institution, so collaborations at Stanford are largely "bottom-up," driven by individual faculty. We cannot ensure the outcome but we are happy to try! Please fill out the form with the details of your request and we will forward it to the corresponding department, program or school. 

OCE does not initiate international partnerships directly, but we can support visitors to navigate Stanford resources or, where possible, facilitate connections to Stanford researchers or faculty members. Collaborations are usually initiated directly by Stanford faculty members based on their academic or research priorities and managed mainly by their respective departments, programs, or schools. Stanford University doesn’t typically establish university-level exchanges nor central agreements.

Only members of the Stanford professoriate may invite faculty or visiting scholars, who are employed or appointed at another institution or organization. Such persons visit Stanford for an extended period in order to advance a collaborative research activity.
